Mike Hamm – Founder/CEO 

Mike provides the strategic direction for creating the unique experiences our residents enjoy and empowerment of our staff to professionally excel. His personal and professional experiences provide the guiding values Hawkeye Care Centers of Iowa demonstrates in making a meaningful difference in the lives we touch. His integrity and leadership resonate in our collective success of “Where You Belong.”

Doug Johnson – President

In his role as President of Hawkeye Care Centers of Iowa, Doug works to help build a culture of quality, safety, transparency and efficiency. Additionally, he works to develop and coordinate strategies for improving long-term care through forward thinking, innovation and strategic planning.

Working side-by-side with Mike Hamm, he is instrumental in expanding services to meet the evolving needs of Iowa’s older adults. Always striving to do something special, his progressive approach in resident-driven care and genuine interest for continuous improvement sets a standard that transcends the senior housing industry and has heralded him as a forward-thinking CCRC leader throughout Iowa.

With over two decades of industry knowledge in senior living, he guides Hawkeye Care Centers of Iowa with precision, passion and uncompromising leadership.

Christy Hofsaess – Vice President of Finance

As a key contributor to guiding fiscal planning, Christy works with the communities to effectively map out fiscal performance objectives while developing strategic plans of appropriate financial stewardship. These tools enable a strong operating platform while strengthening our position to reinvest in our communities in many ways. With extensive industry knowledge in senior housing and long-term care reimbursement systems, including Assisted Living Management and Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Christy plays an extensive role in one of our core values; Effect Responsible Financial Success.

Sandy Ferguson – Director of Operations

Sandy leads the Administrator team in all aspects of care center operations, keenly focused on productivity and quality assurance. Derived from her decades of health care leadership as a licensed Administrator, Sandy believes creating a resident-centered approach is the cornerstone to what we do. Her progressive and sustainable program improvements ensure Hawkeye Care Centers of Iowa communities are a step above the rest.

Dawn Rodish – Director of Human Resources/Corporate Compliance Officer

Dawn brings a depth of experience related to recruiting, training, performance management and education. Here, she is responsible for defining and executing the human resource strategy for Hawkeye Care Centers of Iowa. Partnering with senior leadership, she oversees the development of HR programs aimed at building and maintaining a high-performance culture that engages employees, develops effective leaders and values and supports staff efforts to deliver extraordinary services to Hawkeye Care Center of Iowa residents.
